Latest case study Marketing lead
On 18 September a major distribution forum cancelled. Kevin McGirl and I decided to run our own: AI Reality Check, on 15 October at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry. I was marketing lead and built the brand, the site, the registration system and the campaign.

Registrants who signed up on the site came to the event at 67%. LinkedIn lead-form signups came at 30%. Attribution says where the next push goes: straight to the site.
Partners won
A small paid LinkedIn test returned a single registration. The MTC, NMBS and direct outreach did the heavy lifting.

Fractional CMO reporting straight to the President/CEO. I set annual planning for both brands, build the trade-show and association program, stand up attribution ahead of a HubSpot migration, and run a localized content engine in the US, Colombia and Brazil.

I was punching above my weight and needed to deliver professional marketing content. Chris managed every aspect of the campaign: landing pages, CRM integration, marketing assets, LinkedIn ads, attendee communications, decks and post-event emails. He took ownership end to end, and unlike many marketeers who need to be spoon-fed, he proposes fresh ideas and enhancements. Several people asked me, ‘Who does your marketing?’
Some of the best post-event marketing material I've seen from the 100s of events I've spoken at. Very well done.
The best solution-oriented and most creative person that I've worked with. An amazing manager of staff and projects, and he executes as well as anyone I've worked with over the past 30 years.
I can tell you put real thought into your process. The research, editing, and design quality is noticeably above average, which is why I want to work with you specifically.
Chris was amazing to work with, so quick, so nice and very thorough with his work. I will definitely be coming back to him for more branding and design work.
Four principles behind every engagement.
Most owner-led companies have twelve marketing initiatives and no way to rank them. Ranking the list, and killing what doesn't move pipeline, is my first deliverable.
If a lead has no known source and cost, the budget is a guess. Measurement goes in before anything scales.
I operate like an in-house CMO: accountable for the number and building the team's capabilities, not handing over a deck and leaving.
I've built every part of the machine myself, so the plan is grounded in what actually executes.
Most companies I join have real activity but no system: twelve initiatives, no ranking, and no way to prove what's working. I turn that into one coordinated, measured engine and stay accountable for what it produces.
What sets the work apart is range. I've built every part of the machine myself: the page, the CRM, the ads, the content, the video. So the strategy I set is grounded in what actually ships, and I'd rather own and run the function than hand over a deck and walk away.
I built it to run a content engine end to end: researching ideas, drafting posts and producing the visuals. It lets one marketing leader cover ground that usually takes a team, and keeps me close enough to the build to know what it costs to ship, launch and measure. Access is rolling out quietly to founders and operators first.
Best first message: what you're building, where you're stuck, and what you'd want off your plate first.
